The Certified Penetration Testing Professional (C|PENT) certification is EC-Council’s advanced penetration testing credential. It is designed to evaluate a candidate’s ability to perform real-world penetration testing across a broad set of network zones and scenarios.
CPENT focuses on practical offensive security skills and requires candidates to think critically while performing advanced attacks, bypassing defenses, pivoting through networks, and reporting findings. It places emphasis on multidisciplinary techniques in enterprise networks, including network security testing, exploitation, evasion, and post-exploit activities.
C|PENT also offers a path to Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) Master status if a candidate scores above a certain threshold on the exam.
